Harry Tanfield joins Katyusha - now that's a surprise move!

That made me spill my coffee! Can't wait to see him in WT races. For those that don't know him, apart from numerous other performances, he's a great time trialer, 2nd in Commonwealth Games and 2nd in National Championships.
He was 2nd because Scotson had bad luck and was a long way behind Cam Meyer. There’s potential there but don’t get too carried away.
That's true but as del1962 said only 30 seconds for a young rider, still good result.
He seems a likeable chap and rider who could make a race exciting, winning 1st stage of Tour of Yorkshire from being in the breakaway. Don't follow Katusha enough to know how good they are at developing young riders. With his track riding he could have been taken up by Sky and while they do develop riders well would prefer not to see such a promising 'individual' rider become part of a train.

The MS signing of Schulz is a surprise which may suggest they are failing to hit targets on the transfer front - Now if the rumours are correct regarding Affini then that means MS will have four neo-pros for 2019.

There are rumours of Gatto having signed with Bora. Saw it on Twitter somewhere yesterday.

I don't know Italian but this article is supposed to be saying that Mareczko will be riding for CCC too.

They report an interview with a local newspaper in which he said he signed with them.

Anyway the most important thing is that he said he'll fly to China at the beginning of September, the quest for the top of victory ranking will start :D

Kangert to EF Education First
With riders like Van Garderen and Kangert, they will finally not be doomed when race organisers decide to put a TTT in a race like Catalunya, where you have to ride a decent TTT with a bunch of climbers, because the classics guys are doing other races.

It's been a problem at Slipstream for years that most of their climbers are poor at TT.

Not really, Schultz been progressing fairly well at Caja Rural. His (relative) weakness has been on the flats, rather than climbing but making the podium at races like GP Indurain shows improvement. Nice signing IMO if he fits in.

I've watched Schultz closely for 2 years and at the moment he's PCT level - He's probably a direct replacement for Verona - Anyway he's a good story because he's forged his own path by travelling to Europe at an early age and not being part of any Aussie programs.

He was part of the Australian team in the 2016 Tour de l'Avenir, so he wasn't entirely not part of Australian programs.

Yes - But before that he paid his own way to France and rode for an amateur team in 2013 and 2014.

Very happy with MS signing Bookwalter - He's a rock steady and consistent rider - Would have been happy with either Bookwalter or Roche.
