It's confirmed by Vacansoleil. Interesting: they're also planning to sign a GT rider with whom they're going for top-5 in the Tour... now who could that be? The first name that springs to mind is a certain Thomas D.

Is his ban ending already? Where has he been?

anyway, Riis is said to be looking into signing Kreuziger to replace the superdeluxembourg twins, but RS is reported have shown interest as well.

Ramunas Navardauskas is reported to have signed with Garmin, joining Alex Howes and Andrew Talansky

Liq, Garm and Sky are reported to have an interest in the little prince.

Apparently Ast and Lampre are vying for the services of Scarpmeister Michele from Androni Gio.

Benatti has excited the yet to form Luxembourg squadra.

Albassini and Montfort are said to probably leave HTC with interest from BMC.

FDJ are looking into signing jeannesson as well as bonnet and fedrigo.

I wonder what's rumour and reality!

Do you have a link for the rumour of Albassini moving to BMC?

Just how big is BMC's budget? Aside from Evans, Hincapie, Ballan, Kroon, Burghardt aren't exactly cheap either.

7 million euros (10.1 mil AUD)

There are probably quite a few guys who are not getting paid too much and being manafacturer would probably help them finiancially.

Cervelo are on 8 million euros and they have quite a few big names.

Menchov said to be negotiating with Astana (since May) according to Sporza/de telegraaf. Apparently Menchov's demands are an obstacle.

That's another rumour, but my rumour is the best rumour, you'll see on september the 5th, mark my words!

That would explain why they don't want to release the name during the Tour. Under normal circumstances the Tour is the best possible time to publicise something new.

And that Astana requires Contadors signature before the 25th of july or else their offer is of the table

According to the Dutch newspaper, De Telegraaf, Rabobank signed a contract with Matti Breschel. He is going to be a big asset to the Dutch squad I believe.
Rabobank is also negotiating with Luis Leon Sanchez. He got an offer by Radioshack, but it looks like he is leaning towards the dutch squad.

A bit of a surprise if true, Breschel has been fairly clear that he preferred to stay with Riis. Obviously it's possible they couldn't reach and agreement, but I was under the impression that the negotiations were delayed until after the Tour, which make a breakdown of the non-ongoing negotiations unlikely. It's possible Rabo gave him an offer he couldn't refuse, but I'm a bit sceptical.

ETA: There's an article in a Danish newspaper: Matti Breschel claims not to have signed anything yet, but that he is considering two offers, one of which is from Riis. He won't tell who the other is, but obviously Rabobank is a good guess. http://www.sporten.dk/cykling/breschel-kan-vaere-tabt-riis

Probably he might be waiting to see what Cancellara is gonna do?
At Rabobank he would have a more free role as Nuyens and other rabo guys dont seems to be at his level (at least in the last Classics).

What is the factor that is making Lulu lean towards Rabo? I guess Rabo is more secure or stable in cycling then RadioShack (who knows if they will bail out at the end of the season), but does he plan on learning another language?

Why would he need another language? Primary language at Rabobank is English, he already speaks English. Next to that: Freire, Menchov, Breukink, E. Dekker, Garate and Ardila all speak Spanish. Gesink and Mollema are both looking for houses in Spain and have started learning Spanish.

From what I undestand, Lulu doesn't speak English, but I could be wrong though. I've certainly never heard him speak in English though.

Hilaire vanderschueren (vacansoleil) has confirmed that the deal with devolder is 99% sure, he also mentioned that leukemans is staying with the team..

As allready mentioned in this topic, vacansoleil has big plans, apparantly they have a list of 5 riders they want to sign, devolder is number one and the second one on the list is a rider with whom they hope to go for top-5 in the tour next season...

I'm a bit stumped who they could get tbh. TD won't be ready for 2011. So which available potential top 5 tdf candidates are recruitable for a small team as vacansoleil? Ricco?

Nuyens will leave Rabo. He hasn't exactly brought Rabo what they were hoping for. Boom of course has potential, certainly if he's learned to not fade away after 200 kms. And let's be honest, Breschel hasn't really done much in the real classics either, although I'm sure he will.

Breschel-Boom-Langeveld actually sounds good to me.

According to L'Equipe, it's Menchov they're interested in.
