So you don't agree that securing the signing of one of Contador's trusted lieutenants - particularly in light of the pathetic attempts at psyops perpetrated by Boss Hog during the Tour - isn't supposed to send a message to Contador? I assume you also believe that Armstrong's farts smell like roses and that Bruyneel never did all the bad things they said he did at ONCE

So instead of arguing rationally you try insulting me? Well done. That's a fantastic way to live.

Since you have no arguments whatsoever, the discussion's pretty closed.

And by the way, since you're so bent on calling me a Lance fan, I suggest you go take a quick look at my previous posts. Then come back and tell me I'm a Lance fan :)

Hint: if you do take a minute or two to go through my posts you'll see how extremely stupid and just plain ***, insinuating that I of all people am a fanboy of the hog and the uniballer, really is.

But that's what happens you make assertions based on absolutely no rational logic whatsoever, but just based on the fact that you don't like it when someone disagrees with you ;)

Just because I don't blindly see deceit, conspiracy and lies in everything related to Lance and Bruyneel, doesn't make me a fanboy. You, on the other hand...

I'm loving the rumors, hincapie and levi to BMC... make it happen. That is much more exciting (to me) than them going to the shack.

Why would BMC want those 2? For the $$ they would have to pay, they would do better to get somebody younger, who would be on the team more than a year or 2. Somebody like Nibali would be cheaper than LL, would probably do as well results wise, and has more years ahead of him.

Yes, I know BMC is headquartered in Santa Rosa, where LL lives, and yes, GH and LL provide a certian name recognition and gravitas to help BMC get a Tour bid, but there are other ways to achieve the same results that work out better for BMC.

Guaranteed money will trump friendship almost every time in the pro cycling world.

Actually, Paulinho said that Caisse (who Contador and his friends Hernández, Noval and Navarro are negotiating with) haven't made him any offers.

In fact, this was the only offer he had :)

Well just a rumor, and I agree about getting younger faces, but BMC has always had the tour in mind for their future, and having the name potential to get in the door is one way to do it. Plus with Levi you have a chance of getting some wins on the resume.

However I see this as just a rumor, I doubt GH, and LL would do it. With all the new teams, the tour selection pool is going to be huge, why leave a team that has a guaranteed bid?

Paulinho just signed with the Shack!

I guess Contador faithful LT. really isn't all that faithful.

Did you read the posts above you before posting? It was the only offer he had :)

That he's "one of Contador's boys" is just something the media made up. He himself said the only guy he's very close with on the team is Klöden. Contador's boys are Navarro, Noval and Hernández, who are all negotiating with Caisse along with Contador.

Again, it's in the posts immediately above yours :)

I've stopped paying attention to most of the post on this forum. It's mostly trolls that just want to start crap and I really had enough of that crap. Unless someone makes a statement directly to me I really don't bother reading the statements.

so you just post blindly? not knowing if that information has already been provided? The whole last page was about your post...
not really fair to base your opinion of the entire member base on a minority here (trolls). you sound like it is a chore to post here.

It's not a chore to post. It's a chore to weed through the troll posts. There are a hand full of excellent posters on this forum. However, sadly they are outnumberd by the trolls.

Team Shack officially sign a DS: former rider José Azevedo

This is awesome news. Lance is getting the band back together again and already getting inside Contador head.

Alberto will need to be committed an asylum by March next year.

Go Lance! There is a new name for hope - The Shack!

why?
clearly valverde would be happy to ride for conta in some races (tour de france)

I can't see Caisse paying 3mil annually for both Valverde and Contador (I read somewhere that Valverde received at least 1mil per season and Contador turned down an Astana offer of 2mil/season). They have other quality riders too and they also need to pay for the support riders for Contador.

money is the biggest obstacle i agree. But i don't think Conta turned down 2mil because he wanted more, I'm thinking his motivation to change teams has nothing to do with money. For me caisse is the obvious move.

iss apologies if I misinterpreted you - however, I think the comparison with Beltran is a valid one, particularly in the light of the TdF campaign. Paulhino is not exactly as you categorise him either, being one of the OP boys, like Contador, that Bruyneel poached from his old mentor Saiz when Liberty went down. But seeing your room mate sign for your rivals team must be intended to **** you off.

Seems I'm njot the only one who sees a plan in the signing of Paulhino http://www.bikeworldnews.com/index.php/2009/08/11/lance-armstrong-poaches-paulinho/ However, with no other offers on the table and Contador not making his mind up about where he's going, then who can blame a rider for securing his future, particularly with the security that Boss Hog can offer.

Besides isn't Contador going to Alonso's F1 team bankrolled by Santander?

Didn't Alonso say that team won't happen until 2011?

Susan

I'm told to watch this space on that front. Alonso has got the cash ready to roll. Contractual issues to take care of first thou. I've also heard Alonso taking a year out of F1 and working on this team along with driving in NASCAR or something like that. Also expect a link to a Spanish football team.

Welcome aboard, but can we please make it a rule where that if you post an article outside of English, there should be a translation involved. Either that or loan me a few bucks to get Spanish lessons.

So according to the article, Siutsou will join Caisse. However, I didn't have the best translation and they kept calling Alberto Contador, Alberto 'Bookkeeper'. That is priceless.

Sounds like it has some eyebrow raising ingredients there...
