I don't believe so, since the name Graeme Brown would mean absolutely nothing to any more than the very small number of cycling fanatics in Australia - so they wouldn't be doing it for the media exporuse. Maybe they are changing goals and just aiming for getting any expourse at all ;)

Maybe Rabobank are keeping him on the roster so the only riders he takes out are on other teams...

Hmm, according to Het Nieuwsblad and contrary to earlier 'rumours', they apparently have found proof enough to report that Lövkvist and Hagen have signed for Team Sky.

And now obviously Flecha as well.

I think Team Sky are also signing Nibali. Cycle Sport magazine have been dropping "hints" about this for a few months.

After so many delays, double junior world champ Diego Ulissi will finally turn pro in January 2010. Obviously with Lampre, since they signed the pre-contract about 2 years ago and have constantly been delaying the start date.

Rabo's Bram de Groot is looking for a new team for next year. I think he would be perfect for Skil-Shimano since he has a lot of experience in GT's and other major races.

I wonder if today's news, and Brailsford's views, change this if true.

I was wondering that too. Certainly puts a doubt there although of course nothing been proven yet.....

We'll find out on 1st September I s'pose.

Caisse signs Bruseghin...

La Gazetta Dello Sport reports that Bruseghin has signed for two years worth 370,000 euro per year. I guess they need a token Italian to lead them in the Giro.

Or just reinforcing their line-up to protect their new GC man?

Well, they already have Arroyo, I am pretty sceptic about Bruse's chances, after all, he is not getting any younger.

So it seems like they now have the money necessary to sign Contador, but I still don't know why have they signed Moreau, the guy is nearly 40.

They wouldn't have signed Contador unless they sacked Valverde, but they won't until the UCI bans him, and they probably won't, but I'm going off topic here...

I was thinking they might be looking at boosting their TTT potential.

Given the fact that TTT effectively turned this year's Tour into a borefest I doubt that it will be included next year.

Barloworld are dropping out of the sport. Nothing surprising here either. Mind you Lance does a need a domestique for the mountains and one of them is a former KOM winner.

Caisse are reducing the team from 28 to 25 riders. Among the departing is Joaquim Rodríguez, currenly negotiating with Katusha.

wow reducing riders, and signing a few oldies (moreau , brusi). bit weird. Joaquim Rodríguez will be a great signing for whoever gets him
