It's probably good for the race. Widar, Nordhagen and Pericas will have to try earlier now on Saturday and will probably have to make war on Sunday too, but I fear Tuckwells advantage here is gonna be a bit too big given his form and the fact that he has a very strong team.

Ok if they can get to 1'30 it's still a very good position to be in for Red Bull but not mission impossible for the others.
Race is over imho. Tuckwell was the one chasing down Nordhagen two days ago, and ended up finishing ahead of Nordhagen.

The rise of the development teams makes it harder to assess how good someone like Turconi is compared to Omrzel than it used to be - late 2005 with two years' pro v early 2006 with a development team.

Omrzel maybe a bad example as his Slovenia performance was way better than anything Turconi has ever done, but I mean the PRT v WT development team split. I feel like five years ago if you were u21 and a pro you had the advantage over the others with the better set-up, training, equipment, nutrition etc, but now?
And the UCI respond to this by allowing riders on teams like Visma Development and UAE Gen X into the U23 world championships, but not those on Flanders Baloise or Solution Tech

Very strange that no-one reports how the Giro Next gen has been turned on its head with a break of 13 including Luke Tuckwell getting away now putting Tuckwell into the leaders jersey. Also an impressive win by Adam Rafferty of the Jayco Haegens team which is their first win in two years. Will say that Rafferty is the only rider from that team who could make the jump to WT in 2026.

Benjamin Noval at 16, is giving headaches to his 17-18 counterparts at the current Vuelta al Besaya. I just hope that he could dodge injuries that has hampered the rise of Hector Alvarez who is currently racing at Belgium Tour. Alvarez' ITT result in today's stage would confirm if he has already fully recovered and return to his pre-injury form in 2024.

That has been the talk here for the last couple of pages, fyi. :D

Nordhagen was also involved (or just held up) I think but he's fine cause he was back soon. Just after the crash you see Lotto's gone (apart from one looking his teammates) and also Visma riders all at the back out of nowhere. It happened 20 minutes ago.

Novak on his way to winning. Pretty Epic win. He already almost guaranteed his pro contract with previous results, but his salary will go up significantly with this one.

Disappointing ride form the favorites so far. Nice attack from Pericas but that's it. Race is missing Widar to make it interesting.
