Maybe QS are pulling in G2 because they think G1 and G2 are too small to stay away in the headwind unless they come together? Even then, big, and potentially race-deciding, call to help Yates. Evenepoel is favoured against everyone in G1 even in meh form.

Crosswinds to shallow and road too wide to cause anyone being dropped.
not sure, Tulett and Ben Swift are "working" in G2 as well although they have Viviani and their GC guy in front. I'd think it's the normal thing to do

Not just he podium, but a win. Who is going to beat him from the first group, Gloag? Nah, this is for the win.
Bilbao or Plapp, I have no clue in what form Remco is at the moment. Maybe he's not good enough to win from these guys.

That would be quite the worrying sign if he gets cleaned out by Bilbao or Plapp. Especially with the advantage of the TTT.
