Van Eetvelt worse sprint than expected, wasted way too much energy in the wind here imo. Also maybe not in super form, hasn't felt good the last few weeks apparently (also was actually sick beginning of last week)

I was a bit disappointed by FFB too, but maybe the climb was just a bit too long for him

Yes, I actually thought he could challenge Pogacar today. He was very impressive in the sprint on stage 1.

This race sucks because Pogacar is like four levels above everyone else so even if he doesn't attack nobody else will vecause they're scared.

Nah Ganna has done this too on Jebel Jais. This is still a long way away.

Yeah and I admit I enjoyed it last year, but that was enough (transitional stages were good too). Think it was one of those things that was passable once and never again for me.

Yeah it's fully within what is expected of him, but I think Tarling has more GC potential than Ganna ever did. Ganna is a lot more explosive, though.

Pogacar looks oddly in a bad mood.

Plus his climbing on some of the steep climbs in the Dauphine (as a domestique last year). How long he was up there in the gc group on Samoens 1600 was impressive.

What level? I haven't seen him perform at 2024 level, yet
