Were you watching the stage? Because Gall attacked. But when you look at the profile of the climb, you realise that it's always going to be a sprint for the climbers 99% of the time.

Yeah it's fully within what is expected of him, but I think Tarling has more GC potential than Ganna ever did. Ganna is a lot more explosive, though.

Yeah I thought it was foolish then but to be fair at least it's the Giro, a bit of prestige about it, I think even Pogacar knows this race is a bit naff given how miserable he's been looking this week.

If the Tour of Turkey hadn't been WT in 2019 (and the climbing field was utterly terrible that year), I'm pretty sure he would now be the first-ever first year U23 to top-10 a WT MTF. As it is, he's still the youngest-ever by approximately 10 months.

AG2R got this wrong at the finish. When they had four riders at the front they needed to throw riders up the road, instead of pacing. The way Seixas rode pacing on the front and still featuring on the finish, he would have been better to jump from the peleton.
