This is because, as you can see in prediction above, people only rate anglo-saxons here.
Europeans can't ride a bike, so no way a guy from Luxemburg can win and a German can finish 2nd :p

Or we just don't know the european juniors.

I barely know American juniors.

+1 :D Luxembourg must be an unbelieveable country.

Luxemburg is very hilly. Not suprised climbers come from there ;)
But it's so f'n small. It's amazing they produce so many quality riders

Kirchen (now gone perhaps), the Schlecks, now this guy. They had some decent other riders as well, Joachim, Poos...
Ben Gastauer is also a guy to watch ofcourse.

lol he friend requested me on facebook like 2 years ago. He has some wicked nice bikes! His build seems very similar to a rider type like Thomas Dekker (judging off fb photos that pop up on my news feed).

Interesting post from someone who didn't bother to post any riders to look out for, yet believe it is their right to have a go at people who did - after the results are known:(. This was not a who is going to win thread, it was a who should we look for thread. When it comes to Juniors most people are nationalistic as that is what we know.

We've been through this, don't be ridiculous, it's hard enough to know juniors from your own country let alone every other cycling nation.

I don't think he is being ridiculous. One cannot follow all the juniors, but one can surely check the results from last year Worlds, as well as European Championships, American Championships etc.. from this year. Then one is able to have a broader idea of "who are the names to follow", which was the original topic in this thread. Obviously the bias towards anglo-speaking cyclists in this forum (quite understandable) makes for some useless wishful thinking.

As for me, I believe that at that age too many factors make the prediction very difficult, so I could not answer the original question properly. I don't even think that the junior cyclists or coaches that are competing today at the Worlds could address that question confidently neither.

no it's not just look up international results. I'm no follower of junior cycling but one look at the ranks tells you Jungels is far and beyond the strongest.

2. Rossella Ratto, Italy, s.t.
3. Coryn Rivera, USA, s.t.
4. Canna Solovei, Ukraine, +2"
5. Susanna Zorzi, Italy, +16"
6. Sarah-Lena Hofmann, Germany, +20"
7. Alexia Muffat, France, +1’15"
8. Kaitlin Antonneau, USA, +2’39"
9. Pauline Godey, France, +2’41"
10. Kendall Ryan, USA, +2’41"

And a live ticker for the boys. The girls one wasn't all that great, but it's something.

Yeah, Its hard enough to keep tabs on the pro riders.. I've never heard of any of the Junior riders in this event.

I go with Jungels bob because somebody said he is good.;)
