Cofidis is past Picnic in the 2023-2025 ranking. Picnic has got a gap of 2.297 on UNO X and 2.422 on XDS-Astana. This year XDS-Astana already scored 2.600 points more then Picnic so the battle for 2 WT licenses between the 4 teams should be interesting!
Include Intermarché and make it a battle of 5 teams.

Intermarché is still miles ahead, but goddamn they are bad this season. Almost as bad as Lotto and Arkea, that says a lot.

Although scoring good points in E3, this was not a good day for astana. They had a stronger squad than cofidis at E3, but missed much more points by 10 seconds. In addition to that, the completely missed the split in catalunya (which will cost them 50-100 points) and even lost positions in italy

The battle isn't with Cofidis anymore. 138 points at E3 is way more than expected, even if the echelon split was a bit of a disaster for the Catalunya points. Picnic are all over the place

I think picnic will score its points at time. They have the best climbers out of these teams

Yeah but they send them to Teide for a whole month just to do (or crash out of) one race. Everyone knows they have better leaders, but the others just ride for points more. I also don't think they relegate because I'm assuming they will let their leaders actually ride more and go for points eventually if needed (Bardet could even postpone his retirement to save the team), but you never know with DSM Picnic POstNlshimano

That's on you. But Aranburu will save the team in the second half of the season.
Sarcasm about Buchmann. My previous posts in this thread has been very critical of that signing. Aranburu has been pretty average so far though. Fretin hoarding in smaller races is what keeps the ship floating so far. Waiting for Teuns to perform...

Astana, UNO X, Cofidis, INtermarché all scoring big or decent points this week, but PicNic again not much. I know they have good climbers and some good sprinters, but they gotta start thinking about points.

We talk a lot about Astana, but at this point UNO X is also looking like a threat to the teams above.

Astana now 244 behind UnoX, 2266 behind picnic, 2354 behind cofidis and 3830 behind intermarche. At the beginning of the Season they were 1937 points behind UnoX, 4670 points behinds cofidis, 5173 behind Picnic and 6752 behind intermarche. That all by end of march, with the ardenne classics still upcoming, where Scaroni and Champoussin are able to deliver really big points

It's always weird to read this thread when in multiple other threads people are saying that many races are of little value and winning them, getting good results in anything other than classic, monuments or grand tours is a waste of time. This thread and all the data proves most of that wrong. Many teams are fighting, kicking, scratching at every race, valuing every available point and really going after it!!

I wouldn't pay much attention: even whoever wins the Tour each year gets an asterisk from someone on here for various reasons, for as far back as I can remember.

it was very true until 2020, or for some teams, who didn't read the new UCI rules, until 2022.
since then, everything change, and big teams that never bothered in smaller races, are now paying more attention for such races, and even send their big stars for such races. just look at the number of WT teams participating in PRO races, and even those .1 races this days, comparing to their numbers before 2019.

I'm all for a rule saying that Ander Ganzabal must win all races from now on. That should give me a chance of winning the 24-26 Emerging Riders Game.
