Nice ride by Berg and McNulty in the deteriorating conditions. Harrison must’ve put in an insane 2nd half.

So sad for Knotten. First dropps the chain and then have to change bike two times and finish on a normal road bike :(
And he is even without a contract. Somone should pick him up asap.

Gaviria won't be participating in the road race. Colombia will have only 7riders at the start instead of 8.

Bjerg's domination is simply ridiculous.
One might wonder (considering the superiority) why he isn't among the best when it comes to the elite level as well (Evenepoel alike), but he's still well under the age limit he's competing at, so - a gradual development and targeting.
Congrats.

And considering the mishaps yesterday's winners had, every tt by now has been won in a dominant manner.
Seems to me the course rewards commitment. The undulations can either encourage or discourage riders depending on their shape and the kind of day they're having.
Those saying it's a dangerous route overall will feel even more in right seeing it in the rain.
A complex parcours. Not everything can be seen on the profile.

Looking forward to the ladies' tt.

Final Italian squad: Bettiol, Cimolai, Colbrelli, Moscon, Puccio, Trentin, Ulissi and Visconti. Looks like one and a half gregario, one captain and the rest secretly dreaming to become world champions.

He can win in extreme heat, Qatar.
He can win in crazy rain, today.
Now, the next question is; can he actually live up to his name, and win a mountain ITT?
Might be over the top, but why not.
There has to be a favorable gradient even for a guy of his stature.

On the danish broadcast they had Würtz on (who won the title in 2015).

He said it is quite a step up from U-23 to pro level, and they talked about how no U-23 champion has ever won the Pro title, in neither RR or TT.

Evenepoel is a once in a lifetime freak ;)

Great rides by Bjerg, Garrison, and McNulty. A tough day on the course, to be sure. Bjerg is amazing, winning these things in all kinds of conditions. I am looking forward to his development on the world tour.
