Just worth pointing out that, whilst it rains quite a lot in this part of the world, today is definitely out of the ordinary!

It was sunshine and over 20C last weekend. This is really unlucky!

I think Knotten could have podiumed without the bad luck. He looked really strong. Too bad a lot of guys didn't really get to show how fast they can be.

One might wonder (considering the superiority) why he isn't among the best when it comes to the elite level as well (Evenepoel alike), but he's still well under the age limit he's competing at, so - a gradual development and targeting.
Congrats.

And considering the mishaps yesterday's winners had, every tt by now has been won in a dominant manner.
Seems to me the course rewards commitment. The undulations can either encourage or discourage riders depending on their shape and the kind of day they're having.
Those saying it's a dangerous route overall will feel even more in right seeing it in the rain.
A complex parcours. Not everything can be seen on the profile.

On the danish broadcast they had Würtz on (who won the title in 2015).

He said it is quite a step up from U-23 to pro level, and they talked about how no U-23 champion has ever won the Pro title, in neither RR or TT.

Evenepoel is a once in a lifetime freak
