Actually, Levi's lucky. I've just seen the podium on the stream and have no idea how he should have made in onto that top step.

Great venue today. The race was much improve over last year dispite some room to grow.

Was this a lot better than Cali this year? Only saw today's stage, Phil just said its now the number one stage race in the US

The racing was pretty good, largely because Garmin were super aggressive. The TV coverage was very poor, with the feed regularly going down. The crowds however seemed huge and very keen.

You could make a case for it being the top race in the US, but it would be largely based on the crowds. They also have the right topography to make the best parcours, but they haven't really used it so far.

It really was the most exciting race with the best racing out of the three big American races (thanks to Garmin and Jens Voigt). The "numer one" quote is exageragted none the less, California surely is bigger in terms of world wide coveraged, budget etc etc
