Just to be clear, the letter from USADA states more than 10 cyclists plus cycling team employees.

That means at least 13 witnesses (minimum11 cyclists and two employees), and probably more than that.

The letter talks about a lot of logistics being involved when doing transfusions during rest days at the Tour.

Ironically he calls people trolls who have a different view point whilst proudly announcing he is trolling another forum.

Isn't Armstrong hated most for his hypocrisy?

Maybe he is just doing a psychological analysis while lounging in his lab coat and drinking a beer?:)

I like the olive oil delivery system for T invented by Ferrari.

seems neddiebraden does not appreciate the hard efforts by the 12 apostles in the clinic

"The cyclingnews "Clinic" part of their forum is dominated by about five people (who also post on at least three other cycling forums) who are rabidly anti-Armstrong. It's to the point that if you don't agree with everything they say they will gang up on you and attack and insult you and flat out lie about what you said. One of them claims to be a big cycling insider on multiple forums, is constantly wrong but the other four tout everything he says. The sad part is that cyclingnews is a great cycling ebsite, but Daniel Bensen and his mods will let these guys do these things but then go after anyone who responds in the same way. If you look the forum is pretty much down to about 10 or 12 people who post regularly because of this. (FYI I used to post there until I complained about this and the response I got made it clear that they approve of what that core group does.) "

hahahahaha

He gets the same treatment as any rider, like Leogrande for eg. Ullrich, for eg, is Germany's/the UCI's concern, not the USADA's. I'd be far more concerned about what it meant for cycling if the USADA gave Armstrong a pass just cause he is Armstrong.

Why do you love to hate? Wonderboy being subject to the same rules as other athlete flies in the face of everything that is Right and Good.

You seem to not be aware that USA Cycling is run by Tailwind. Weisel, Armstrong, all of them run the federation. To this day the UCI vigorously defends Wonderboy too. I'd be very surprised if you heard from Pat at all this week because they've got to work out how to get Armstrong off.

The chief mod says you have no idea.

Why is it so difficult for some users to accept that other users have different viewpoints? You may not like them nor like their style, but that it just too bad for you.

Susan

Bro's point wasn't about other users having different viewpoints, it is about the same user having different accounts.
BPC is back, with the usual arguement. I have no problem with them here as I will just highlight their inaccuracies.

Well then the good news for you (I read the letter for you since it's obvious you didn't actually take the time. I guess all the spinning made you dizzy.) is that there will be testimony from team employees! Spin spin spin. Spin spin spin. Yep, still 10 teammates (some of whom never tested positive either I suspect) AND TEAM EMPLOYEES!!!! Man, it must be a good day for you to find out this wonderful information. It will certainly shorten the time it takes you to write your next troll!

Hold me closer tiny dancer.

Not sure why you are crying troll just because we have differing opinions. I believe from the article I've read any way it was a letter of intent to file formal charges after a review of the charges. I myself would rather they just charge him and strip him of his titles right away if the evidence was that strong.

But I'm guessing it's a bluff like the federal case.

No, I haven't read letter. I couldn't care less. I just stated that what's happening doesn't feel right.

Your faith has been shaken. Let it crumble.

Pepe Marti now named and shamed and very publicly associated with running a doping operation at Saxobank during Contador's time there.

The UCI has to allow someone to keep up with SKY in 2012. It would be interesting to see a clean Contador, ride but we won't.

It gets even better: Marti has been Alberto's personal trainer for what - 5 years now?

I agree.

transcripts if not public

spetsa said:
If LA chooses to contest this in front of the USADA, and witnesses are called to testify, does anyone know if the transcripts are made public?

No. If the hearing is closed to the public there would not be any publication of the transcripts. Only at the end would the decision of the arbitration panel be published, and then available on USADA's site.

A bluff? If the Review Board recommends the case go forward, USADA will recommend sanctions. The sanctions appear to be stripping Armstrong of wins as far back as 1996 since the statute of limitations will not apply to disqualifications, and lifetime bans from sport. A further hearing would only be held if Armstrong contests the recommendations and would be held before November. Doesn't sound like a bluff...

the whole 'Lance Armstrong' section has already been removed from ironman.com

That's not surprising yet it's still amazing. It's also why I don't think Nike or any other major sponsor not totally dependent on Lance will commit hari-kari to defend the indefensible.

It is disappointing to see that lack of condemnation from all the other loud-mouth pro's and ex-pro's who've slagged-off guys like Vino and Ricco. Pereiro's defense of Armstrong was especially humorous.

Never been a better time to still be a Greg LeMond fan....

Yep.

Strange episode that.

I remember that guy from Dailypeloton. Worst Armstrong defender ever.

Anyway, this whole ordeal brings up a couple issues.

1. How much did Discovery Channel know when they pulled the plug in such dramatic fashion? I am guessing they knew quite a bit.

2. What will RadioShackNissanTrekLeopardbutnoShleckexceptFrankenbuger do now? Will the sponsors bail given Bruyneel's involvement in the doping and trafficking investigation?

Another bad thing about this is us (the average cyclist) are now expected to know everything about this and state our view to the random passer by-er who sees us out on the road. Not to mention the daily contacts who know our interests, most fell under the spell and keep asking if we're a fan of the guy but are puzzled at our reply that we're not (and that was back in the hay days).

After Floyd, the number of , "wow you were right" still goes on and now, this is only going to make us (the ones who know what was going on) seem like we knew everything. Not saying I (we) know every detail but we knew it was not right (donkey != race horse).

Agreed, I think you had a double negative though there.
