There will be no press conference. The babble was already given to the few friendly reporters he has left. They are embargoed till 10:00 EST

I think Mr. Armstrong will set a defiant tone in his press conferance, especially if there are cameras there.

Wiggo is urging LA to hold nothing back and use the words w****** and c***s in the presser.

But I don't think that will work for an American audience.

Well, it is not entirely wrong. That is his choice. Of course, it is possible and it is lawful. And he does need to choose.

The media judges him a bit harshly. He is not certain to lose. This may be worrisome, but it is so.

You missed my point. Googling "USADA" or "Tygart" does not return a banner quote from either.

I agree with your assessment.

What will be truly revealing is how long he sticks around for questions, and the tenor of the questions by those allowed to ask.

I wouldn't expect this to be a press conference - probably a heavily narrated exclusive (given to half the media)

Edit - I see RR has said as much.

All I want to know is will he admit anything about Matthew McConaughey?

I guess I will have to read about his greatness in a press release then. Not the same really. I was picturing one of Hitlers speeches, calling his minions to arms.

Well they probably didn't have press releases in his day.

'hep me out here. I know about the deadline, but what exactly are we waiting for? Midnight and Santa Claus? Press Conference? Statement?

If Cinderella can't get her high heels to work by midnight, it means that Johan Bruyneel, Pedro Celaya, and Luis Garcia del Moral will not be showing up to the litigation ball this fall...]

It's so good to have an insider of the calibre of RR come in and explain things! And the comment above is totally 'toonworthy!!

I'm guessing that because Armstrong now lives in Aspen (can someone correct me if I'm wrong) 2am EDT would be 00:00 Mountain time. Thus giving Armstrong right until the end of the day that the deadline is set in the timezone that he is in.

Mighty flexible of them. When's the last time you encountered "The Man" and he was willing to adjust to YOUR schedule?

Getting The Hog, Marti, and Celya to drop their cases is important to Wonderboy as he thinks he can keep the evidence quite then

What do you expect from a guy with a GED?

So the official talking point will be that he could not fight it because the system was rigged against him and he was sure to lose. I guess he is hoping that future stories about him will always include a line about how he has aways denied doping and never failed a test just like they do now.

There's no way he's going to fight it, right? If he does, all the testimony is going to be released and he's going to look like bigger fool?

The funny thing is that there is an opportunity to do some sort of admission, even if it is a JV-like non-admission admission. He could throw people a bone so he does not seem like he is treating everyone like idiots. He could point out how bad the cycling environment was. Even if was just to soften the ground for the future, he could give a little. Instead it looks like he will continue lying.
