What bs by Phil and Paul. Fränk Schleck has only been a household name since helping Andy?

Did they forget F.Schleck had already won the Amstel Gold Race + Alpe d'Huez stage before Andy had a result at the professionals?

No, this is very common for European teams, to leave their TT bikes at home.

Same thing happened in Oman when in fact ALL teams rode without TT bike

Yeah, often races away from Europe will not allow TT bikes, to save the 'smaller' teams who can't afford/justify the shipping from being at a disadvantage.

Its not as though they can just drive the team truck there full of kit.

Clement had his TT bike didn't he?
I didn't see him ride, just commented on the other guy. Maybe they have the ITT bikes for the most important riders (Clement, Gesink) and not the rest?

Henao is going to have to work his *** off to stay in contention today, there aren't a lot of opportunities for him to take back big time later on.

I didn't know Maxi Phinney had Parkinson. I should really do more research on the 80s and its riders.

With household name they don't mean cyclingfan name...I think they're actually correct on this one.

The next 2 days are best, and they're far from ideal. Shame to set up a race like this, in an area like this and then avoid any meaningful climbing. Likely to be a big anti-climax after Utah.

Versus graphic hails Big George as a four-time Tour de France stage winner, neglects to mention that three of those wins were Team Time Trials.
OK point taken... but he has stood on the podium at least four times.

Damn, only 6th today. I was rooting for George for the win.

Henao's technique is not very good, looks like Sky will have to do quite some work with his TT.

I don't it's BS. Even a non cycling fan knows TDF stage winners, especially on mountains such as Alpe d'Huez.

Could have been a lot worse for Henao.

Course doesn't give him much of a chance, but I hope he has some fun the new couple of days, even if it doesn't amount to much.

he won from a break and finished 11th so it's not like he was in the news every day
