I'm wondering if Matthews could last the distance/ terrain. I think if he is there near the end he could win???
Matthews could handle the distance of Milan-San Remo, so I don't think that will be a problem. And this isn't the hardest classic around.

why Bos is not here?!!
Not completely fit. He wasn't fit at the Dutch Food Valley Classic either though.

I think the question is more about whether he can handle the distance at this point in a long rookie campaign (remember he's been out there since January). Even Peter Sagan had down time, doing pretty much nothing in any races he entered between California and Plouay (ok, there's the Philadelphia International whatever it is). Matthews hasn't done much of note since the Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfurt on May 1; he's placed in an ITT in the Delta Tour Zeeland and a sprint in the Ster ZLM Toer and the Tour de Pologne, but that's about it. Whether he can handle the distance may not be the question - but whether he can handle it at this point in the season might be.

4 leaders have only 35 seconds lead with 50 km to go. Omega very eager. Brutt, de Gendt, Bak in the break. And Barta.

Very nice.
Marcel Wüst co-commenting the Cyclassics on German Eurosport. Race-coverage saved by ESP.

Of course German ARD/ZDF cover horse-jumping and rowing. :D
They don't even cover it on NDR (subchannel of ARD for north Germany).

2 years ago you could still follow nearly every minute and every meter of the race.

When you ignore something everything is fine and will turn out great.
Just as people ignored the quality of FDP poloticians for years. And see what we got, it turned out great.

28km to go, Brutt just gone solo over Waseberg (Bak can't follow) ?

Not sure if that is right, just tuned in.

Because it has the legendary Waseberg climb in it, and *** could win who is simply a great cyclist. :)

Wonder if we will hear the official gorilla-scream again.

Yup, just need to pull it along quick enough and they should have plenty of manpower to set up the sprint.

Griepel & Thor stuck behind. Sky appear to have 7 men in front with 8km to go, so should be game over for those boys.
