Why is Nibali such a whiny little b!tch? "It's not nice for him to turn around and look at me". Cry a phucking river. He did the same thing at last years Giro when Contador let him dangle up the rode and then came around him before the finish. Boo hoo.

It was the LA-type look, so entirely valid complaint given the identical miraculous performance change consistent with them both.

He doesnt moan about those he is beating. I think this is a beaten man trying a pretty obvious wind up. Almost as obvious as his decending attacks, and about as useless. He needs to shut up and mount a proper challenge.

I guess deep down Wiggo didn't feel comfortable enough on yesterday's stage. 10 more stages to go. How long before Wiggings cracks?

Video of Wiggins staring at Nibali for a little while @ 8.50

Oh come on I'm sorry but Nibali just doesn't cut it. Have not sseen anything that shows he is capable of toppling Wiggins. Evans knows this hence his reluctance to waste energy on downhill attacks

No Nibali wont be able to win the GC. But on stage 16 he might just drop Wiggo on the last decent a gain a little time. Might be for the stage or if not just to get a psychological victory.

Nibi is Sicilian, it says it all!!

He takes shyt form noone, he´s proud, he got a hot temper, but he´s honest about what he do, and who don´t love an agressive rider, instead of the dead freaking boring UK POSTAL way of riding a race.
And to be honest, he´s attitude (wiggins) begin to remind me of a guy from Texas who I think rode the tour at some time... I wonder why?
Wiggins only comments to the press when asked: "we trained for it, that´s why we are so gooood"...ehhhh ok ok, the rest I take to the clinic...

This was reported in the Daily Telegraph website, where one of the posters in the comments section wrote:

Nibali needs to grow up he is yet another childish frenchman who cannot hold a candle to our man. The french are such bad sports when they loose.

Oh dear, I don't think the general British public have quite got the hang of the Tour de France.

Seems like some of them think it's a version of the Ashes, with bikes instead of bats, and the French rather than the Aussies.

Seems to me like Nibali is trying to talk his way into yellow. He's commented on not being scared of wiggins ? well i've seen nothing to show Nibali's a real GC threat yet.

Cadel is wheel sucking as usual. There's been little excitement so far. Lets hope more is done on the bike today than through press conferences off the bike. All this talk of forming alliances ? man up and take the race to sky, if you're team hasn't got the power then sorry you're just not good enough.

Bravo. I'm a half-blooded Sicilian (or a Sicilian half-blood :D). Your character assessment is spot on. And they are not stupid, despite a propensity to be hot-headed and fiery at times. Nibali knows exactly what that look meant and he was f-cking p-ssed off by it.

If he has the legs to attack he surely will, but even if he doesn't he needed to call a spade a spade as far as the Englishman is concerned. One thing about Nibali (and Sicilians generally) is he is mature (as opposed to childish), proud, doesn't mix words or look for excuses and places high regard for respect and honor of his colleagues.

Of course Sicily is also the land of Cosa Nostra, so there's a perversion of the same respect and honor code called omertà. Though this is something different. While it's true that all Sicilians aren't mafioso, the mafia was born on the island. At any rate in the positive sense of maturity, respect and honor, Wiggins could take lessons from Nibali.

He will just keep on attacking until he will either succeed or lose 5 minutes.
Just like he did against AC last year. That's all.
Now that he's angry (with Wiggo and with others...) no way he'll just sit down and see what happens.

Especially considering Nibali is Italian and not french  , so I guess you are spot on. ;)

There was a rather embarrassing feature on BBC breakfast this morning to further confirm this point, bringing in an expert from British Cycling to explain (yet again) the rules underlying the contests for yellow, KOM etc.

Happens every year. Usually in a response to people asking why Cav isnt leading when he wins so many stages etc. But if it gets newbies interested in cycling then im all for it.

As for the whole Nibbles v Wiggo spat, it is all gamesmanship. Doubt either rider actually cares what the other thinks about them, they have too much else on their minds.

I hardly think it´s the team that makes your personality cobble...it´s rather where you come from, and if Wiggo really gave him the finger, I too would call it being respect-less.

I'm rapidly losing respect for Nibali.

He's spent the first half of the Tour giving a daily narrative to the press on his thoughts on Wiggins, usually that he's not that great.

Now he's crying about a lack of respect because Brad looked at him?

Pathetic.

Lol, he's a bit of a cry baby isn't he. You'd think he would respect Wiggins more as a rider (even if he doesn't as a person) as Wiggo has already thrashed him twice in Grand Tours and is on for the hatrick here. Seems strange that he said Wiggins wasn't a threat the other day.

Wasn't it Nibali who had a big interview in L'Equipe a few days ago, saying he's not impressed with Wiggins? That interview raised a lot of eyebrows. Not vice versa. In any case, seemed that Wiggo was looking down the road to see who had been gapped in the second group.

Nibali should let his legs do the talking: so far Brad's have been doing that more successfully, hence Nibali's pique.

+1. Exactly. And ditto for Bernie's comment.

And kudos to Nibali for at least taking the race to Brad on the road, and hopefully not with his mouth from now on simply because he's losing in all aspects except descending.
