Best allrounder in cycling and the only current rider that can win basically every race he targets.
With this win he has elevated himself above all other riders of his generation.

And this is why is he is in a different league than Froome and all those other one-trick-GC-poneys. What a champion.

Great win!

PCS has him scheduled for Pais Vasco and not Ronde van Vlaanderen, how come?

Wasn`t he trying to do both but had trouble finding a flight?

How's traffic on French high highways on sunday nights?

Hats off, well played and ridden.

Would be interesting to see his power data from the bottom of poggio. Basically a full gas effort uphill, a "recovery" downhill and an all out 3,5km.

What a rider. He better go all the way in Liege now, too.

He usually races Liege, but remember that's Valverde's playground.

He certainly won't wait Ans to make his move there. He's master tactician, he knows exactly when and where to attack. Yes, in this form he could win Liege.
Hats off for today's win! That was the most impressive MSR win I saw in a while (better than Cancellara...)

It has only been Valverde's playground since riders stopped making serious early moves. That might change again with Nibali this year.

At the same time last year, I thought that Nibali was past his prime. Was I wrong! Two GT podiums and two monuments later, the legend continues. What a Champion! He can win anything.

To be fair, he has a very bad relationship with LBL. Remember Iglinskiy?!

Nibali has only had a few legit cracks at LBL.
