Sorry, I may not have expressed myself very well: He said that at the same time last year he was 2kg heavier and with his wife being pregnant he wasn't as focused as he should have been.

yes, i understood you, Mayomaniac, thanks. 2kg lighter this year is significant in a good way. maybe i confused the subject by wording it differently when i typed that he was 2kg (lighter this year) versus saying 2kg (heavier last year). Both mean the same thing, ofc. :eek: I was agreeing with you!

Anyway, being more focused this year is a key point, too.

Awesome poster, but nah, Nibali is at his prime stage, he should target Tour as his sole GT objective just like any other capable contender will do.

No Quintana or am I going blind? If they'd have put him in there then they would have been able to centre the image better. Vvde is doing his bugs bunny impression and poor Ryder. Hadn't realised how reminiscent of LA he is.

To leave out the current Giro winner is unforgivable, and yes Ryder has LA's look!

Looks like he's in the middle of a podium celebration and is spraying the champagne. I would say ALL of these are podium or other Giro/RCS-owned images, otherwise it is hard to explain why J-Rod has lipstick on his cheek, etc. And yes, that's a huge oversight to leave Quintana out. I like the idea of what they were trying to do here, but their execution is pretty p*ss poor.

Well it's the challengers that are portrayed. It makes sense to me that the defending champion isn't on the picture.

Perhaps they were thinking as reigning champ, he is not a challenger. As though the Giro was obviously the best race of the season. :D

If so, then Quintana would've been in the center and the other riders, including Contador, would've been the midgets, no? :D

That is indeed what they were thinking. They would never include Hesjedal and forget Quintana.
