In a proper shape yes. I don't think that he had the required form and his last target of the year was planned to be Lombardia.

Didn't see it.

Nibs does know how to tank his races, but it's been a long season, and Giro/Tour was probably simply too much.

Well I clearly meant that he doesn't have the form to win it, most probably.

He didn't look particularly good, but Lombardia is a very different race: endurance matters a lot more, climbs are longer, tactics can play a role.
He won't be the favourite, but he still has a shot.

Very true. But look at Roglic 1 week ago vs today.

Hopefully Vince finds better legs. The others will be dying once it hits 220km. I'm always optimistic
