Tony Martin is going to QuickStep and last year Taaramae signed an extension to his contract at Cofidis meaning he stays there until the end of 2012.

Well then that's perfect, coz that was TdF 2013 dream :D Odds are even higher then:D

Just please don't make any of us look foolish by being caught doping...

Coming from you, I really think that's quite the line. Please don't make yourself look foolish by posting anything even close to that again.

I'm always curious to see what you have to say in the clinic, but when you write stuff like this it stinks up the whole conversation.

I'm not allowed to couch my support and admiration of Vino in language that reflects my hope that he wouldn't return to the very tempting, seductive practice of blood doping?

You really are a piece of work, Joe. Gotta admit that....

Back to the topic, as messed up as Astana, the team is, and has been,
Vino is always fun to watch!

Great to see Vino looking so amazing!!! I'm beyond excited about his comeback. I truly wonder how many riders could come back at his age from a crash that severe...

Yaaay! Finally for once a team's nasty, internal power struggle benefits us fans by compelling Vino to continue for another year.

With the accusations of "new managers" who have no claim to run a team except for their possessing a university degree, it sounds like Vino could, however, suffer if he's forced to dedicate too much time/energy to political infighting while still a rider.

Nahhhh...it's Vino after all!

everything i picked up from the grape vine a while back and reported here 3 weeks ago seems to have about to happen ...

..otoh, we may enjoy vino attacking 1-2 more years b/c of the astana struggle !!!

for the first time vino publicly confirmed the power struggle within the team and his reservations regarding kash.

given vino's latest candid interview, i can only see more power struggle ahead...

either mahmetov has to go (that the' guy with the dipoloma') or vino caves in.

we know vino wont cave in.

and he shouldn't !

i am only concerned for kash's future now as vino clearly won't let him replace himself. perhaps, that's a wake up call for kash's talent.

the conflictiong information about vino’s future continues to pour in...

dated yesterday, 17/09/211, an official statement from the kaz federation regarding vino’ future,

... I find it funny to hear when we are reproached with is that we are squeezing out of the team Sasha Vinokourov. And managers and team leaders WEF RK[kaz cycling fed - python] repeatedly claimed that Vinokourov was, is and will be proud of cycling in Kazakhstan, and we look forward to working with him in any capacity. As for his professional future, he opened all the way - from working as a team to cycling federation. Officially, about where he will continue his career, Vinokurov intends to announce in November in Astana during the World Cup on a cycle track.
(underlining by python)

also yesterday, vino told l&#8217]
i get an impression that vino used media each time some official tried to spread a false or incorrect information about him.[/B]

also, one of the admins of astanafans.com claimed that the new managers opposing vino have alluded to vino’s corruption when they met foreign journalists at various races. This material stayed up for several minutes and was promptly deleted.

clearly, the team’s internal power struggle has spread to media wars.

i hope, that one of the admins from astanafans.com (kazakhnerider) who is/was also a thoughtful contributor here, can clarify..

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON

Roman Kreuziger said that Vino is flying to Kazakhstan on Monday and a lot of things about the situation in Astana should clear there. There should be decided who wll be the team manager.

admins of astanafans.com
Stop right there.

Stop calling that site a media, cause it's not.

These people don't know what they're saying.

A few of these so called "admins" are only there cause they're spend there for like 20 hours a day. And feel the need to make up stories and blow out some "news" out of the ... you get it.

And as you see other admins are more responsible and there are in-fighting even between them. Apparently they like it and actively encouraging that kind of stupid stuff and slinging feces in comments so that any discussion (that was already pretty stupid) gets physcially unbearable to witness.

Couple it with news dead season -- and you get a site you don't want to read.

They're after the hits, they don't care a fig about anything anymore.
