you're right though, not that tasty.

Naah... that's just a snack!

Back in the days of steel bikes they had some problems with their bikes being eaten!

And I should stop being crazy!

some nostalgia for vino?just hope he will be healthy and have fun
it will be interesting if he will ride roubaix because if he can get back at 2010-2011 level he can do something.he won't fight for gc neither in tour or giro

I think he's naturally more suited to Flanders. Has he ever ridden it?

some 10 pages ago i reported on a power struggle within astana - the money man makhmetov vs. vino, kash hiring over vino's head etc...

it looks like vino has won another battle - the money man is reportedly no longer with the team.

Vino doesn't "ride" Flanders - he accepts Flanders' invitation to pummel, savage and humiliate the parcours! :D

I actually remember the parcours pummeling and humiliating Vinokourov

After that, he never returned :p

3d party source - googled mahmetov interview to time.kz

-his contract was not extended due to 'mutual agreement'.
-comes across a little bitter, ('vino's job was to pedal and my job was to manage the team')

must say I preferred the old design. They've taken off the sun logo from the Khazak flag and I think the jersey looked better with that on

Astana '07, Vino Chrono des Nations '11, BB in VINO's Posse

Can't wait to hear what Bozic has to say about being recruited to Vino's Posse!

Here's a cool Vino shot...from the Chrono des Nations '11: http://youtu.be/QQLkaKbvxq4:

I noticed for the current shoot they even had Vino's bike with the FSA bars.

The new version looks a bit short on sponsorship from the other Khazak companies. No eagle or sun on it makes it all look very bare.

Great video. Impressive quads when he's doing the leg extension machine.

I'm afraid for him - he looks old. He is old. Next to these other guys he's like a grandfather. OK, father, but still.

A doctor friend said that a normal human would not have been able to get up like he did immediately following his accident - he's super-human, no doubt, but to make a comeback at his age and after such a severe accident... I hope everything goes well but I do worry for him.

Vino is like a machine :), when you have been training for so many years as he have you wouldn`t loose as much power and form as you might thin. Ever heard of the skier Bjørndalen? he had a pretty severe back injury, but becasue of a life with training hes boody took it remarably well so he didnt loose his form as much as you would think
