Could the downhill finish create some time gaps, or will the final podium place be decided by a sprint?

Decent sized breakaway should contest the finish. This stage really isn't that lumpy. Should be an armchair ride for Albasini

Any info on the final downhill? Technical? :)

I had a quick look using google maps earlier and the first half is quite technical. It gets a bit easier and flattens out towards the finish though.

Small group finish with Albasini to hang onto the overall title giving Team Greenedge another win.Maybe Sanchez can sneak away on the last decent?

I suspect Euskatel will have been busy the other 3 Spanish teams, the tv directors, moto cameramen, chalkboard girl and even the helicopter pilots to create a variation on a theme, i.e. "The Stolen Volta".

Greenedge need to be aware of the sub-plots of Spanish cycling. :rolleyes:

The break;
Dyachenko (Astana), Smukulis & Ignatenko (Katusha), Possoni (Lampre), Clement (Rabobank), Ramírez (Andalucía), De la Fuente & De la Cruz (Caja Rural), Edet (Cofidis).

They're being kept on a tight leash by the peleton.

It could be my imagination running away on me, but this looks like it might be quite an interesting stage. Garmin going hell for leather again.
