Usually the excuses come after the race but now we're getting the excuses in before the race 😄😄 Don't forget being snowed in!!
Yeah very weird I'm assuming a crash has an impact on performance. What was I thinking

90% of it can be blamed on Pogacar simps. Even in races without Pogacar, as evidenced by this thread.
It's really mind blowing to see people changing their opinion depending on who they are talking (2 weights, 2 measures). Everyone is hampered by crashes unless your name is Pogacar.

I don‘t really dare say it until they‘ve departed on the planned route, but mostly cross-headwind on the final climb, the main tailwind section is from 11 to 8 k to go, I wonder if Vingegaard will already attack there.

We're in Spain. I won't be sure until they reach the final kilometer of the last climb (sorry, the Vuelta still haunts me).

As for the stave, hopefully the wind won't impact the racing that much and we'll see a proper battle between the favourites. Hopefully the crash didn't impact Evenepoel too much, although with him....if he finished 10th it may very well be his real level

there are some interviews from the start available already, and so far with no talk of any changes to the stage. So it seems like the plan is to do it in full for the moment

not having the final 2k probably makes sense, as the road starts to get more exposed on from there. And we all know they would cancel right away once barriers start to fly around at the finish, which is far less likely to happen at the new one.

So it's this without the last 2 kilometers? Doesn't make that much of a difference
