It's pretty suboptimal. They didn't use Hindley, they didn't drop Martinez, they could've gotten Evenepoel get away with Vingegaard and let eveyrone else chase. Now you presumably sacrifice Evenepoel (your biggest weapon tomorrow) for fairly limited gains

Yeah it was a silly move. There was 20km of rolling terrain… they could’ve taken 30-60s there
