That was really weird. They almost had them, but then BV got out of the lead and the other teams didn't immediately take over so they lost the decisive second? I mean, I'm happy for the break, but that didn't look too clever from the rest-peloton?

Velasco by far the smartest and deserved the victory. He is a good opportunistic rider. Jungles and Gregaard panicked too much in the final km

Velasco was always gonna win the sprint. Much faster than the other two.

I wasn't so sure, actually. He is definitely the fastest, but the last time I remember seeing him in a situation like this, he was completely done in the end. Looks like he has gained some stamina since.

It certainly didn't help that he lost all momentum during the sprint because of a chain issue. Not that I think he could have won anyway, but he might have finished second.

I'm sure he was righting for the result. He was probably just hoping it would be better than third.

there are 23 men up the road now, including guys like Mollema, Zimmermann, Arensman and Bou, who are all within ~1 minute in GC. Peloton is three minutes behind.
