All time trials are not created equal. Like with our Norsgaard discussion, Vermeersch's 15 extra kgs over McNulty do mean something in a flat, windy TT. McNulty is world class in the more lumpy time trials.

So it's the first time trial with wind from Noosgard.
I don't know, but if that's the explanation, then there was no wind at all during the rest of his ITT.
