Quinta da Lixa pacing the peloton, can't see other blocks behind.

Looking good.

Délio, pero que bien! Zé Gonçalves again very good.

Chris Horner sub-par.

Was it just me thinking that delio played it a bit dirty in the sprint closing him against the fences? Although he was a bit innocent thinking he wouldn't get closed there

grande rui sousa will come back!
No, you know the Hernâni Brôco rules. He will always run out of recovery on the last GC stage, so he will break my heart (again) in the TT this year.

I think Cesar Veloso will win again, Marque doesn't seem in his best condition this year, perhaps he tried too much to be slender for the mountains. Only Mestre could try a far attack on Torre

Rui Sousa.

Ah, I see....an old, not-at-all-suspicious rider with "talents" to win a big stage race. My bad for not getting the reference.

I would like to see some young(-ish) Portugese talents soon, so hopefully Antunes and Figueiredo will keep up the good work this Volta.

Gallego again in the break. :D Hilarious if only to piss off Rui Sousa and his arrogant DS.

Also Zé Gonçalves! Props for not just defending his third place.

Stage 3 finishing in Fafe with a slight uphill. Tomorrow Monte Farinha.

I'l try to map that last ramp and see if it's anything special.

For today? No, mate. Go to sleep, is my advice. :)

The péloton's got its act together, taken half the gap to the break in the last 3km. Thinking an interesting-ish slightly uphill sprint. Will it be tough enough for them to rid themselves of the likes of Cardoso? Tavira obviously don't think so, riding hard for him...

It's both quite awesome and quite bad to see Gallego in the break on stages like this, the way he was climbing in the Route du Sud and riding in Torres Vedras would suggest that he could feasibly be just as much a threat as Horner in the mountains, but he's wasting a lot of energy here for what is clearly unlikely to reap rewards.
