You need to be, at least a bit, depraved to enjoy the Grandíssima show. It's an amazing race in the right frame of mind...

Kinda true, but then it also feels like a more honest spectacle than the Tour...You need to be, at least a bit, depraved to enjoy the Grandíssima show. It's an amazing race in the right frame of mind...

I like the course, it's about not only aero and watts but a degree of prowess when it comes to bike handlingVolta ao Tugão seal of quality:

Too much. They have 90º turns on a steepish downhill on cobbles. They almost have to stop, little bike handling involved if you just can't take the risk.I like the course, it's about not only aero and watts but a degree of prowess when it comes to bike handling
It's not ideal for Moreira, which makes Figueiredo not attacking once the 1-2-3 was a done deal yesterday even more stupid.I like the course, it's about not only aero and watts but a degree of prowess when it comes to bike handling
Looking at the map they actually ride something like a short lap near the end of the TT. I hope everyone stays safe, but that really seems like a bad idea.
For what is worth, the idiotic DS, Ruben Pereira, just said it that waiting for Moreira yesterday was a decision made by Figueiredo and Carvalho, not by him. It's not ideal for Moreira, which makes Figueiredo not attacking once the 1-2-3 was a done deal yesterday even more stupid.
Good to know, thanks for the info. It's an overhead passage.
He did what he could and this kind of a technical TT with multiple short climbs suits him a lot more than a normal flat one of the same length.Figueiredo actually does an amazing time trial, 7th on the day. Only lost "1m15s" to Motor Moreira.

Tbf, only 2 riders managed to rides this one with an average speed over 43km/h (and only Moreira over 44km/h). It was really technical with multiple short hills, so lightweights were not as much at a disadvantage, as long as they are good bike handlers and/or somewhat explosive.Less than 60 kg is the perfect weight for time trials nowadays.
