Broke his front wheel narrowly avoiding a crash at a roundabout. Then had to wait for a long time for a spare wheel.
I would hate the classics guys again messing up their season by a crash in a race that is of no real importance to them.

I don't have a source but it's his home race and one of few races where he can target a good GC result. He did very well last year, too. Sure if he isn't in good enough shape it won't be difficult to find plane B or C on their roster.
