Half of Belgium currently compiling a list of quotes from this thread in preparation for Roglic's first race.

Stage races might be more interesting than classics this year actually, Frank Rijkaard is just going to smash everyone.

A shame he doesn't ride Strade, but he joins Van Aert on the volcano.

He can take one in the opening weekend, but after that it will be difficult for him. He lacks the winning tools, and mere placings are not worth it.
Every year prior, I had a lot of hope for Wout, but this year, I think will be a major disappointment. When Wout rides a race and is there and at the front because he's one of the most gifted riders in the world, he will have more of a chance. I think last year's P-R really hurt his mental game, and I also think that when he decides to concentrate on something (WC's, Ronde, etc}, he beats himself mentally, because he seems to make major mental mistakes (2023 CX WC's where he just forgot to f**king sprint form the turn, as an example). He questions what he should do, chases and chases and then lets a break go when it's clear he shouldn't. And this year, he is all eggs in the basket for Ronde and P-R. It is the perfect set-up for an epic tragedy you could write a play about. I think his best chance for one of those races (P-R to be specific) is in 3 or 4 years, when he is no longer consdered a real threat, and he has good legs, and is able to get away when the others aren't completely focused on racing against him. I think the pressure of where he is, is going to be too much...especially when you combine that with the legs of Pog and MVP.

Why wouldn’t that be Kuss tho?
Is Kuss riding Nieuwsblad, Ronde or P-R? I am genuinely asking, because I don't think he'll be there for those races, and even if he is, he won't contend. I think Kuss will try to contend at Strade, but from what I'm seeing, this year again, you're going to have to do something special to be Pidcock there.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to watch any moment of this exciting race. Well done by Martinez, will teach Remco to go much earlier or later next time. Or Martinez is just quicker and that’s life

I'm just the opposite. I have much greater faith in him this year. I also think he will be ready to use his team better in the biggest races, and hopefully Van Baarle has no bad luck this time around.

Poor Martinez, was only presented as team (co-)leader in every race he started the last two years. Praise the Lord, for now he has been freed from these chains of labor.

It ain't INEOS' fault Dani heavily suffers from allergies, my guy.

Not all chains are physical. If you cant see that Danni is a different rider this year well ......

Lmao Healy what a legend

You better believe it....Just wind him up and let him off ..he never gives up
Still smile at his Giro attacks last year when Pinot had to keep going after him and Rohan Dennis laughing at his antics (sad to think of that now)
I just think Martínez is much, much better than anybody thought.
My point exactly ..its not the Evenepol is worse its Danni is better
I don't think this "Kuss as leader" experiment this year is going to produce actual results. As much as I like the guy, Kuss is a climbing domestique who was allowed a gap in a major stage race, and then won. Sure, his strength to ride 3 GT's in a year, and do as well as he did, was impressive...but I don't think he is strong enough to beat the best, when they won't just give him a gap.
Kuss was pulling today for Traknik who thanked him after the race . Kuss has little pedigree in stage races in February with long TTs...different ball game at the Vuelta, with TTs at the end of the season . But you must have great insight to write him off already

Landa today pulling on the flat and downhill and dropped on the climb ???Soudal must have wanted him for something other than climbing ?

The peloton had quite a task bringing back van aert and Healy. Another 20 seconds up the road Healy wins the stage
