I think it was. Rodríguez really lost all speed just before the line, so there was probably a second between the rear wheel of the rider in front and his front wheel even if the distance didn't look big.

You don't get CPR done unless your heart stop beating. So it was definitely serious. But let us hope he recovers, even if that means no more cycling.
There are athletes that did have some sort of a heart attack, and later recovered and went on with the sport. But it's rare with cycling since there is always so much pressure on your heart.

I really hope so. That could make the difference in him having a further career or not.
But first things first, I hope he recovers to a normal life.
