Bengtsch than explains that in the Giro Stage in Nepal (sic!) last year, Thomas didn't want to take any risks.
Yes. Also 3" rule for a gap:
7.2 STAGES EXPECTED TO FINISH
IN BUNCH SPRINT
The following stages have been
identified as « expected to finish in
bunch sprint »:
- Stage 1, 2 and 5
During these stages, the protocol of
calculation of time gaps for stages
“expected to finish in bunch sprints”
published on the UCI website in the
Regulations section will be applied.
Was wondering if it was him. Just keeps on impressing for how maturely he rides.Brennan keeping himself in the front. He's also really good on these kind of finishes.
I can't be the only one thinking it.
Did they get lost?
3k rule is applied to all stages not finishing on a classified climb. Generally. In all stage races.3s rule is weird here imo, but 3km rule is good.
Kuss doing his best to kill GC Kuss.
They did change the rule after Rogla got the same time as Evenepoel in the Tour last year.3k rule is applied to all stages not finishing on a classified climb. Generally. In all stage races.
Sometimes you must get lost to be found. There is method to the madness. If I concentrate, I can imagine Thomas passing though a dimension door into Nepals during a random Giro stage, taking no risks, he refuses food and drink, while he waits for the passage back to appear in a nearby well, now he must only remember the words of the spell.
He's always been very inconsistent, certainly in the early part of the season. It's just that since about a year people notice because the camera is on him.I would have thought he managed it already. Nothing from him since 2023 Vuelta.
