It have been a quite explosive end, it was a mistake from SKY to put Nieve all the climb working, there are some false flat and the descent, where Poels had to put a big pace.

Contador has 16 seconds now above Froome, so tomorrow SKY cannot speculate if they want to win this.

I think Purito will be good. If you look at him during this race, he's focused and always at the front on the most important moments. He was also riding with ease, side by side with Froome and Contador, when Movistar were drilling it at the front on the 1st category climb on stage 1, when at least 80 riders were dropped. Not a sign he will follow Contador and Froome all the way up la Molina, but a sign he's focused and TA was just a prep race.

If he attacks from far and the others hesitate, he can win tomorrow. If he just follow wheels, he for sure will top-10 and maybe top-5.

In Pais Vasco i expect the old Purito who will really fight for the win.

Do you expect Froome to win here? I don't. He looked ok today but not at the level of Contador and Martin. Looked like others struggled even more.

I can't see Froome challenging Contador tomorrow to be honest, he clearly lacks a bit of race sharpness which is understandable considering he hasn't raced for so long, whereas Contador is looking good and has raced recently.

It would be hilarious if Froome dropped everyone like a bad habit tomorrow with one of his signature attacks, but it's unlikely.

Over the years, Froome has developed sort of predictable patterns in his performance. Him failing at Volta a Catalunya is a regular pattern, and it only seem more likely to repeat itself after today (which was not bad, just meh)

Yeah, that was very average from Froome and Sky to say the least. Obviously just didn't have the legs but I'm not sure having everyone up the front like that for so long with an apparently strong head wind was a great idea.

Thomas did pretty well actually. Crashed hard only a few days ago too.

As I said earlier ...the 3 leaders policy is a bit much.....Poels or Thomas needs to be sacrificed earlier

But also obvious the Froome not feeling top so they probably did not hammer it because of that.....bad result though for them

No he doesn't. SKY will try to win the race with Froome, and Martin will drop at some point. Just need to follow wheels, and attack in the last km or so.

I will not count out Froome yet. Last two appearance at Catalunya, he came after being sick (either his back or his chest infection). This year he is healthy. Last year, I thought Contador for sure win Route de sol, just to see the flailing Froome from the day before, destroyed Contador and won the jersey. There's is a possibility he might go full *** tomorrow. Maybe, today is just for him to ease in to the race.
