We have to wait, the first real test is tomorrow.
Within favourites the rider I have lower expectations is Joaquim Rodriguez because this season he had poor performances on all races. It's big question mark if he's back to good shape.

I don't even see Jrod as a favorite for this race. I know he's done good here in the past, but he seems to be finding form much slower this year.

Just look at how he raced yesterday: constantly at the front. On the climb, he was side by side with Froome and Quintana.

Compare that to his racing in Tirreno, and you know it's all about concentration/motivation.

If he's going to win this Volta a Catalunya i don't know, because he can lose against Froome and Contador even in super shape. But he will fight with the best, that's for sure.
