Fantastic by Purito! Happy for him.

Good ride by Contador, don't understand why a lot of people were basically just speculating on how much time will Froome put in him. Don't really think that even the best form Froome is much better TTer than Alberto.

Contador rode the fastest climb off the fantastic four if i'm not mistaking? If Jrod wins it, it's only because of bonifications, lool:D

No kidding... Ten Dam climbed faster
But he didn't look tired on top of the climb (from the 2 seconds I saw). I literally think he took it too easy...

Tomorrow is not a good climb for him either tho, more time loss. It should get better after that, but I really don't think he is that great at this vuelta. Still him merely finishing the race is a good think I think.

Wow purito great tt! Alberto a 1" Fail

You should be Ecstatic. Contaodor is basically leading (when has any stage race let alone gt ever been decided by 1 second), without the pressures of leading - red jersey.

And his terrain, is still to come.

Purito cant just chase seconds here and there if he is supposed to soon start thinking about the overall. That is a useless tactic. But lets see how the guy handles the mountain. Today should come as a warning shot.

Froome and Porte starting to feel the Tour in their legs. Shame, Froome in the his Tour shape would have really taken it to Contador. Now he has no chance for the win. He needed bare minimum 1 minute buffer after the TT now he is behind he'll do well to hang onto third.

Seriously believing now Purito could win this Vuelta!!

Mate what you think of Gesink he's been annonymous all race in the mountains, and i thought he'd do a good ITT and he gets beat by Purito and Valverde.

Not when, according to Bobby Julich, Andy refuses to get on the TT bike at all, yet is constantly telling the media how hard he's working at it

He's working at it in his mind. :D

Nice to see Bertie put the poser in his place. :D

So if ITTs are to shake up things in GC, this one has horribly failed.
Bonus seconds FTW now :(

He won the mountain stage in San Luis but no overall GCs since the Giro

I think he won 2 mtfs in San Luis, though allegedly in 1 he wheelsucked Levi.

Nah. Contador will just win the Vuelta the old fashioned way in the big mountains of the last week. As he was always predicted to.

Because Purito was able to hold on, and Froome wasn't able to win by 2 minutes, then it's a bad ITT? Are you serious? Bonus seconds rule keep them coming.

Let's hope for, but if I were hime I'd just throw a couple of 20-seconds-worth attacks here and there. With 3 strong opponents that close in GC even attacking from 5 kms to go seems daring.

Valverde is too far back, Froome will be probably worse and worse.

So it's Contador vs Rodriguez. Rodriguez is in really great form.
