When did Rodriguez get to this level? Man...this is sick

I'm thinking the Giro was more of a warm up than anything for Purito. I guess the gap between Contador and Rodriguez is not big enough to allow Alberto to be better when he lacks the race fitness Purito was able to build all year long.

To be honest the real surprise to me was how well Rodriguez did in the TT this could have been expected at some level.

Purito may gain a bit more time on Contador by the time they hit the top. Contador needs to sustain an attack, and can't.

Well done to Contador. But I think he's been mentally defeated today.

my thinking was he would not go out to gain time but to fatigue him and test him, so not so much as yesterday

Oh and great climb from Quintana by the way, he's on the mix with the very best, after a series of attacks.

Why oh why can't Valverde, Rodriguez, do this at the Tour? Would vastly improve the race there.

Good to see Valverde will finish on the podium regardless of the 50'ish seconds he lost due to his crash. Seems the top 3 will be decided purely on merit not race accidents.
