Hmm On Vuelta official site:

Via google translate

Los dos atacantes ya han sido neutralizados por un pelotón que marcha rapidísimo.

"The two attackers have been neutralized by a platoon marching breeze."

Amusing translation.

Ooh. Peloton has split it says. Anyone know who is driving it ?

Only 51 riders in the lead group. Would love to know who is driving the train at what must be a decent tempo to cause the split.

Katusha ? Saxo ?

Or do Sky have their power meters on

Sounds like it might have been Movistar. Valverde still taking it out on Froome for the Echelon-crashes earlier xD ?

Yep, it´s up and down, suits him fine, and if they are lucky, they have a guy out in the break to, send out Paulinho, they would let him go, but very useful for AC on the decent and first part of Puerto de Pajares which is not so steep and perfect paulinho terrain, point is, they have to do something extraordinary if they wanna win this Vuelta.

paulinho has actually been excellent this vuelta, i haven't seen him riding like this since the 09 tour!!!!! to be fair both him and pires have been doing a great job on the earlier parts of the climbs.

All together again, Garmin closed the gap (meaning Talansky missed the split).

There is an English flag on the top right corner of the official Vuelta site so you dont need google translate to get it in English.

lol they already are at the top of the climb

it's good to see that sky is still alive, props to froome!even if he's getting weaker day by day,it looks like he won't suffer a "pajara" today.

Why though, or do they just enjoy driving pelotons around Europe :D
It's been said that Sky only have a Plan A. This could be a hilarious confirmation of that theory being literally true.

Can you guys not see Froome is going to shake the cycling world with a legendary solo effort that will bag him the Vuelta?

I'd be very disappointed if he doesn't go all out on Cobertoria at the latest.

i hope he does. it would make for a great showdown as Valverde will have to respond, dragging Contador and JRod along for the party.
