I bet he has been holding his frustration in the last 17 days... He came so close but so still few seconds far. Attacked so many times, but get neutralized so many times. Finally, he got it! WOW.. and still WOW. I think Bjarne and Alberto are made for each other :D

Gesink, Talansky, Moreno, Roche etc at 4:48
Froome at 4:58

Is that Froome cracking some more, or given the group at 4:48 was so big, was he just being careless and let some bike lengths open at the back?

Even as someone who is a Froome fan, the sport needed this sort of Grand Tour. Unpredictable, explosive and above all else, an absolutely brilliant watch. Contador is back, that's for sure. It disappoints me that Froome hasn't been able to contend but what excites me greatly is the prospect of Froome, Contador, Schleck and even Purito going head to head next year in the mountains. It's going to make for some brilliant racing

Not that time cuts in the Vuelta usually matter, but here it appears to be at 43 minutes, five seconds...one nobody in the grupetto is going to lose sleep over, in all likelyhood.

Froome is simply dead tired. I can see him losing 10 minutes on Bola del Mundo :p

Once again this shows that Contador his tour'11 was actually pretty amazing.

Wonder whats in store for next season with regards Froome & Wiggo.

Would like to see Froome head up the Giro team, see what happens there, but most likley be Uran or Haneo?

Hiding in shame apparently. This so called fan was the first to abandon her hero when his strenght faltered.

Yep...that was some strange behavior.

what a tragedy.

i like all of the riders in the top four and contador and valverde made today an exciting race, but i was really hoping rodriguez could hold on.

Funny and sad but true, KAT didn't take responsibility in controlling the race. However, Purito may have not felt good today anyway.
