Nope. This was his last/best shot. No dice. Seems like a good guy, but tough race and a tough opponent.
Yeah, which I'm a little bummed. But that's also because I only caught the last 10 km of this epic stage.

Really? I think he should show some respect. He can celebrate all he wants afterwards.
I doubt Rodriguez cared anything about that.

Wow I was away most of the day, thinking this would be too easy a stage for anything to happen, then when I turned it on at 12km to go I was like 'wtf?!?'

Contador is the only currently active cycling legend

Ouch, Rodriguez at 2:47. Well, maybe next year.

Wow purito didn't expect that coming. I watched his interview (even though I don't understand spanish.. *lol*), he seemed very upbeat and confidence. Read his new conference news on rest day, he seemed to be really excited that he fended off alberto in the most toughest stage. Wow… I'm speechless for him today. Bravo to purito!!

Man, can't believe I'm at work and missed this! 1 hour of highlights is not going to be anywhere near enough by the sounds of things. :(

We only got like an hour of coverage though, after Contador attacked. Gap was only about 20 seconds then though, so it was exciting all the way.

It has been a while since a posted something on this site but today I just want to say that whether you like Contador or not he's a proper champion, what a rider, what a ride!
Super Vuelta, on a par if not better than 2010 giro.

Looked a brilliant stage today the little bit (30km) the spanish TV let us watch. Why did they not produce pictures before 3pm U.K time? Very annoying!

Great riding from Bertie and Valverde. Thought Valverde would catch him with a few k's to go. Feel for Purito after the 3 MTF's over the weekend.

Unbelievable Contador. This was amazing. Full respect. (now it is time to take leave before she who shall not be named arrives)

Big respect to both Berto and Purito. JRod is still the fastest punchy guy out there. Lots of stage wins and hilly classics left for him. He got beat by one of the greatest every.
