This is gonna be fun. Low clouds and rain on the climb is always promising for a good race.

True, the only thing that is bad for the race is that Contador isn't behind but 1st :p

Yeah, but he forgot to ask his team if they like the rain...and they're already wet.... :)

You mean he wheelsucked Tony Martin for a stage win?

Is he a winner? A quick glance at his palmares says otherwise. You don't really believe Clarke has gone deeper this Vuelta than Jrod do you?

I don't care whether I like someone or not, KoM should be won by a climber.
The way the Vuelta was designed, it was done so that the GC contenders would win all secondary classifications. That's boring. I'd rather see someone like Clarke win by actually working specifically for it, than a GC rider picking it up without even noticing or ever going for the KOM points.

I didn't say he's a winner. He doesn't win often. But "loser" doesn't mean "anyone who doesn't win tons of races".

I like Clarke, he's working for it (unlike Purito), and you called him a "loser". So yeah.

Unlike Purito... I think you take the prize for the dumbest comment of the century, congratulation.

25 riders ahead:cool:

In La Bola, 600.000 people are there according to organization

Squeezing 4 people per square metre that makes 150000 m2. Take 5 metres on each side of the road and you need 15kms to fit all those people. I don't believe it.

Yet this Vuelta has been everything but boring, so I can't agree with you. ;)

The KoM has never been interesting in the past when it went to guys like Garzelli, that's why I want the best climbers to win it. I don't even remember anymore who won it at the Giro this year.

Perhaps you want an underdog jersey, so the underdogs can win something?

And if a climber really wanted to go for it he could, but fact is nobody went for it so your logic and analyze is just utterly BS.

Purito Rodriguez at the beginning of the stage: "Quiero ganar todas las clasificaciones: la regularidad, la montaña, la combinada... y también la general".

Purito hasn't worked towards the KOM jersey, no. So I think you have me beat.

So how does this contradict my assessment that Clarke deserves it?

No, I want the secondary jerseys to provide some sort of competition of their own, because otherwise they add nothing to the race.

Simon Clarke is just unlucky to not be called Simon de Clercq, then everything would be fine with El Calimero.

How is he doing, Is he defending his elusive 21st position in the GC?

Then how did Jrod get 36 points if no one went for it?
Because he picked them up in MTFs where no break managed to stay away? Obviously?

When was the last time you saw an epic KoM battle?

Bahamontes and Lucien van Impe, those were the days. All on youtube for us to see.

Yes!!! I predict he wins by 3.5 minutes today. Contador and Valverde will have heavy legs, however Alberto will keep his 2nd place. Also I see Froome completely collapsing and falling out of top 10, thus enabling Roche to get into top 10 and saving his season. Gesink will get a big jump from 6th to 4th.

That the KoM is not interesting because some second rate cyclist goes for it like you claim. It's boring for that reason.

Call it the KoB jersey, but please not the KoM.

Nowadays they don't add anything, or not much, to the race. Such a shame.
