Yes, going behind is better, and Contador doesn't need any gap.

The goods are with him, collapse apart, he has won.

Valverde must be loving them. NOT.

I think Contador is riding that new Red Wifli rear derailleur that Leipheimer rode in the Tour of Utah on the last stage.

Still not sure why carrots are riding so hard. Anton? Moving Gorka in top 10?

I think they want the stage win since they haven't got any in this vuelta yet.

My only guess is Anton feels really good today and wants to progress a few spots in the GC

Don't see how towing AC and the like for so long will get them towards that goal, though.

These english announcers comments on the crowds are completely out to lunch. That really is down into Liggett and Sherwen land. Holy Cow. ummmm.....there's a guy who is coming back to racing...what's his name....

Well they would be towing it because they want to bring the break back, I assume Anton or someone else would attack and try to ride away for the win. I agree though that Contador, Valverde, and Purito will probably try to take advantage of their work and go for the stage themselves.

that in the last 10 years the crowds in the vuelta had really dissipated and that the location of stages and various other reasons accounted for such a great turnout for the race this year. At no point did they mention AC. It's just hilarious to me how english speaking media resent him. It would be like golf announcers refusing to credit Tiger Woods for the crowds at tournaments and crediting the nice weather.
