The last stage with a 10 laps around a circuit

Contador has won the Vuelta, Clarke KOM, Movistar Team the Teams standings and Valverde and Purito are battling for points and all-round jerseys, Purito has the advantage in both.


The stage is short and flat (about 60 km of race in Madrid city) and Degenkolb, Swift and Bennati should be the favourites.


After that the final ceremony will be at cibeles (famous because Real Madrid's celebrations).

This circuit it's basically to show the city, despite there are better streets IMO.

A road race and TT will have different locations, as you see there are high mountains at 60 km from Madrid for example.

This is the procession through Madrid where the 3 top riders will drink champagne as friends, likely include the 4th placed rider just to show that there were non spanish riders in the race too, and then follow wheels for 50k around a &#8220]

Yeah we will only have live pictures from 16.00 Why can't they just broadcast the entire stage, it's just 100 km

Will be interesting to see whether Valverde can steal the points jersey from Purito. In that case it'd be the second year in a row in which Purito loses the Vuelta's points jersey on the last day.

If not, he'll have won the points jersey+podium in two GT's in the same year. I assume that's a rather rare feat!
