Lol:eek:, and how much he will take in TT to nairo?

Looking at the Tour TT from last year which was similar length but slightly harder and better for the climbers Nairo lost 1min 11. There is also a 10k flat TT on the final stage too where Froome will add a some more time. I'd say Nairo may be looking at around 2 minutes between the 2 TT's.

yeah,I agree,between 1 and 2 minutes for all tt's.

No matter what happens this thread will be a goldmine for quotes :D

I think Froome will put in around 2-2.5 minutes on Quintana in the TT and another 2 in the mountains. Nibali (if he rides) will fade in 3rd week and take second around 3 minutes behind Froome. Cant really predict how Aru or Rodriguez will do. Its really a shame Contador won't be racing.

I really hope Purito can show something in la Vuelta. Or just give some indication he can return to the old days.

Really curious to see if Aru can deliver to all the expectations. Competition will be stiff.

Tour this year was a big mistake. Especially that he was in the break back-to-back in the Vosges and kept digging deep the rest of the race, while he obviously was out of shape. No stage wins and no jersey, perhaps one of the biggest losers in this year's Tour.

Next year he will probably target the Giro again, meaning he won't win Liege nor the Vuelta

Loser is just a relatively thing. I can name a lot of more cyclist who are more unlucky then him. Perhaps he's good in the Vuelta, but he won't win ofcourse. Reaching the podium would be a big surprise for me.

He will not win a GT anyway. He had his chances, didn't take them. But winning Lombardia, FW and LBL is still possible. I like to see him target MSR next year, you never know with the new route.

I don't understand the fact that he won't win the Vuelta if he's targeting the Giro next year (if you believe he can win one still).

never understood why he'd ride the tour. didn't make sense at all

The goal was to ride himself into form, because according to the team, there weren't many races before the Vuelta to do so.

I think this is just nonsense. Clasica San Sebastian, Pologne and Burgos looks fine to me to get into a good condition.

I think it has more to do with some kind of pressure that was put onto the managment to get Purito to the Tour, in the hope he could win stages. I think they didn't know if Kristoff was able to deliver to the expecations (which he did). So with that expectation, they couldn't affort themselves a bad Tour after already a horrible Giro.

No, he just wasnt impressive in the Giro at all, lost almost a minute in the mountains in 2013, even though Sky had to take care of the peleton (held yellow jersey) for majority of the race and we know that being a leader has its responsibilities and cuts into recovery time. So yeah, adding 60 seconds to the losses, especially since Vuelta suits Nairo less isnt far-fetched at all.
