Dumb bookies, don't know anything of cycling.

It's very hard for quintana to have the same shape in the vuelta as in the giro. Recent history proves that, the only one who was able to do it was purito in 2012.

Froome's injury is not of the sort as Contador's, i think he should be able to be at 100% making froome the big favorite. Froome is right now still a better GT rider than quintana.

Giving Contador 20% is a bit much, and that comes from a guy that actually doesn't completely rule out that contador can win the vuelta

Nibs has had good luck doing both with 3rd and 1st in 2010 and 1st and 2nd last year.

Exactly, he says his aim is to start the Vuelta with a medium form level, but he doubts he can reach that. IMO if he starts the race, he should just aim for stage wins in the second half of the race.

The problem is that there is only 1 stage which is great for Quintana,no 16 iirc. Then there are typical unipublic 1 climb stages, which are a lot better for Froome. Then there is a 34km long itt with 7km climb (only about 4% tho).I can see Froome take more than a minute there on Nairo.
On the other hand depends on form.If both will be in top form,it will be very close as Quintana will be better in mountains but Froome in TT imho.

Hopefuly Nairo trains explosivness for those murito's climbs:p

But did he win? And nibali's form was last year really not that amazing compared to his giro form.

And did a guy like froome participate in those vuelta's? That's my point, quintana can do well yea sure but froome is the top favorite

While being far from Giro form, Nibali lost the Vuelta by underestimating Horner until it was too late (can't blame him too much, who could have possibly predicted a 42 year old could last three hard vuelta weeks).

So it's doable for Quintana but I agree, if Froome rides the Vuelta he is definitely the favorite.

Are those the same bookies who listed Sastre among the riders you could bet for just before the 2011 TdF?

It seems like it should be possible to have two uber peaks for the Giro and the Vuelta. Could we finally have a Grand Tour on our hands where there isn't a dominant rider?

No Contador.

This is a win-win situation for everyone because I don't think he was going to be in the best form and the speculation about him not being good enough would have started again. And for the rest of the field they don't have to worry about Contador.:)

Wait, can Tinkoff-Saxo just not ride the Vuelta? Who the hell are they going to send there?

And dont even joke about calling Rogers, Roche and Majka to prepare a week before race starts.

Mørkøv as a sprinter OFC!!!! :D
stage hunting with, 2Sørensen, Zaugg, Sutherland, Petrov, Breschel, Kump, Mørkøv, Boaro, Hernandez, Pires and those kind of riders. Or as is often the case with la Vuelta: The nine guys who are the least fatigued after a long season.

Ive loved watching Majka this This TDF. What a beast, i personally feel he can one day right competition win a GT. I hope he sticks to Giro/Vuelta combo next few yrs.

I think it is sure he will be fired after season?isnt it?
A source from Colombia told me that during a race at the start place they were talking about the firing of Betancur. I looked it up but nothing was public. So not sure if that was cheap gossip from the riders in Colombia or if somebody is keeping a secret from the public.

After Purito showing today,i think he doesn't really hold any chance in the Vuelta,i find it hard to believe that he can find some form to be a contender. So without Contador and with Purito sucking,Valverde could get a place on the podium, what a year could be for him with chances to podium 2GT's TDF and Vuelta.

Would be funny to see Valverde fuck Quintana over so he can get a 3rd place himself

Well,Quintana is young,Valverde is playing his last cards.I think Quintana would not be so ****ed about it,given that he already got a GT win this year.
