This is the stage that finally eliminates all the pretenders from GC contention. It is assumed that Woods will be eliminated, but what about Roche and TJ? We will soon find out. Also I expect Lopez to get in to the top 10.

Great stage. First proper mountain stage of the race and everyone showing signs of weakness already. That first week must have taken a lot out of them.

I don't think Froome has this wrapped up at all yet. Nibali looks to be getting stronger and there are a lot of tough climbs still to come.
