Interesting thought processes about the riders on the thread. Sky and Froome seem to be tiring badly and ready to crack whereas Contador is as fresh as a daisy and capable of riding away with one or two team mates. The reality is Contador is probably also conserving energy today ready for the big day tomorrow when he can make the podium- that will be his realistic goal.

Yup, Sky must be tiring; I think there were only 5 of them with Froome on the final climb yesterday instead of the usual 6 or 7.

The problem with attacking Sky is that you'll lose all of your own domestiques by the time you get Sky down to 5 or 6 riders.

It doesn't matter if the break gets 15 minutes. if they really want to do an ambush pantano and theuns can wait by the side of the road.

And they will wait for 15 minutes at the top of a a climb ? People will remark it and won't be trapped.

ANy DS reading this board for tactics would want to quit his job now
Apart from that arrogant dude Portal, who can't stop laughing.

I genuinely dont remember seeing Meinjtes since the descent in Andorra on stage 3

Some say he is still descending.

Unfortunately he is one of those riders who will forever be an anonymous top 10 rider
He is the type of rider I would love to see in the sky train.

C'mon you wouldn't wish that on poor little Luis ....he'd never survive

Interesting Astana blinked. As well as the threat to two Astana positions in the top 10, its also worth noting that Movistar are half an hour behind in the team competition and have two in the break versus one Astana.

Watch yesterday's stage again. Every time you saw a picture of the end of the peloton in the valley before the final climb you could see meintjes in the last position. And I'm not joking

If you're looking for Meintjes, 90% of the time you just have to look at the last rider in the GC group.
