Well done NIbali and also Konrad, who is not a major contender of course, but just extremely strong and alert on flat finishes with splits (already in Giro he never lost out on main moves in the first week).

By the way, I hope that today's stage shows people the negative side to the "three seconds between two riders to count a gap"-rule that several people want to implement. Luckily it isn't in place for this race, otherwise no differences would have happened in the final.

No holding back tomorrow. We'll know who is NOT going to win the race.

4.3km at almost 9% avg can do a lot lot of damage to anyone not in good shape.
I expect a small group of GC guys to crest together and then bomb it down to the finish.

How technical is the final descent?
