Battle for the break will be great again. In the GC group attacks not before -2km, and Quintana to take la Roja.

Good thing about the final climb is that it peaks in km2, and that after that it kinda turns into a gradient where being in the wheel matters a little bit more again, so if you want to put down the hammer you want to do it early
True, there is a short plateau inside the last 2k, but I still think 20s'ish differences can be made on the last ramp if no one decides to go for it early.

Nibali ftw

He looked terrifyingly out of shape till now, very worrying for the Worlds.
Plus I doubt he wants to take risks.

Kwiat is 3:20 behind Yates in GC, so the break will definetly have a hard time.

This could be a great showdown between the two giants of the race. I'm going with Oscar, but Ben will surely give him a run for his money.
Weird film by Ben King about how he gave himself an eating disorder to become a cyclist, and was in Hell until he found religion, and realized that "Jesus is in control"

Seems like Movistar doesn't want the gap to go out too much. I guess they want to win today.

Kwiakowski is putting himself out of contention for the Worlds at this rate.

Alessandro Ballan won a comparable stage from a breakaway in the year of his world title. I think Kw. is one of the main contenders for the world title. (And he's making Movistar nervous at the moment.)
